Data We Collect

  • Account details (name, email address, profile picture)
  • Content you upload or generate (episodes, show notes, cover art)
  • Usage analytics and interaction data
  • Device, browser, and IP information
  • Subscription and billing information (processed via Stripe)
  • Social platform credentials you connect (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X) — stored encrypted and used solely to publish your content

How We Use Data

  • Create and authenticate your PowerStudio account
  • Provide, operate, and improve platform services
  • Enable AI features (transcripts, show notes, chapters, social content)
  • Publish podcast content to distribution platforms on your behalf
  • Monitor performance, security, and platform integrity

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing or improving the PowerStudio service.

Data Sharing

We share your data only where necessary to operate the service, with the following categories of providers who are bound by confidentiality obligations:

  • Payment providers — Stripe, for subscription billing
  • AI service providers — for generating transcripts, show notes, and content
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers — for storing and serving platform data
  • Distribution platforms — Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and others, solely to publish episodes you explicitly submit

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not transfer your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your Rights

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@powerstudio.au.

9. Google User Data

PowerStudio uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) to allow users to authenticate. When you sign in with Google, we access your Google account name, email address, and profile picture solely to create and authenticate your PowerStudio account.

We request only the minimum OAuth scopes required: openid, email, and profile. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, contacts, or any other Google service.

Google user data is used exclusively to:

  • Create your PowerStudio account
  • Identify you when you sign in
  • Display your name and profile picture within the app

Google user data is never:

  • Sold or rented to any third party
  • Used for advertising or profiling
  • Shared with parties other than those required to operate the platform (infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations)
  • Used for any purpose unrelated to providing or improving PowerStudio

PowerStudio’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Social Platform Integrations

PowerStudio connects to social platforms — including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok — solely to publish your podcast content on your behalf. We post only when you explicitly instruct us to do so.

For YouTube specifically, we request permission to upload videos and read your channel information so that episodes can be published directly to your channel.

All social platform credentials and access tokens are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your PowerStudio dashboard, which immediately revokes our access.

We do not read, store, or analyse your social platform content beyond what is required to publish on your behalf.

11. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

  • Account deletion: If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days.
  • Backups: Encrypted backup systems may retain data for up to 90 days following deletion, after which it is permanently purged.
  • Billing records: We retain transaction records for 7 years as required by Australian financial regulations.
  • Inactive accounts: Accounts with no activity for 24 months may be flagged for deletion. We will email you before taking any action.

To request deletion of your account and data, email support@powerstudio.au with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.

12. Data Security

We implement the following technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected using TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive data, including social platform credentials and payment tokens, is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
  • Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Infrastructure security: Our hosting infrastructure is reviewed regularly for vulnerabilities. We use reputable cloud providers with industry-standard security certifications.
  • Incident response: In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities in accordance with Australian Privacy Act obligations.

We integrate with external services to operate the platform. Each provider handles data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
  • Google — authentication and YouTube publishing (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Anthropic / OpenAI — AI content generation
  • Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music — podcast distribution
  • Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X — social content publishing

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

All platform software, design, and branding are owned by PowerStudio.

  • No copying, resale, or sublicensing
  • No unauthorized branding use

15. Termination

  • Violation of Terms
  • Illegal or harmful activity
  • Security or platform risk

You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your data deletion rights under Section 11 apply.

16. Disclaimers

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PowerStudio’s liability is limited to the greater of:

  • The amount paid by you in the past 12 months, or

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes — particularly to how we handle Google user data or other sensitive information — we will notify users by email and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of PowerStudio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
